Press Case Study: How HSYCO realized a centralized and integrated supervision of a modern villa

Paraphrasing the famous, Neopolitan comedian Totó, we can say, after having examined the results obtained with the HSYCO system, “the sum is greater than the total!” In actual fact, the HSYCO system has added value to the systems of a beautiful modern villa through centralised supervision and integrated control.

Often, the various technological solutions available on the market entail implementation, by integrators, of the choice of standard and various brands in order to best meet the needs of the client. In this case, the supervision and control systems, working on a higher level of integration, can bring together the different information technologies, domotics and AV, thus creating one single integrated system. Therefore, in the event of wanting to create complete integration, the design choices must take into consideration a supervision system.

The supervision system shouldn’t, however, interfere with the integration, namely it should allow for the systems to function autonomously, even in the case of the supervisor malfunctioning, and it has to be reliable, namely involving ‘robust’ algorithms and a clear scheduling system of the processes. Lastly, it has to be flexible during the configuration and parameterizing phases, so that it meets the control and management requirements of the end user.

The HSYCO supervisor, the result of decades of experience of a company specializing in HBA – Home&Building Automation – has become the real trait d’union between the systems created in the villa which we are going to describe below, allowing for complete and secure management.

It’s a magnificent villa with a large park located in western Liguria which used to be a private residence; here the HSYCO control system manages the main functions of the system. The individual rooms of the villa, which are completely different to one another, have specific needs as far as heating and lighting is concerned, as well as security, and therefore the system design required more effort to enhance the rooms and reduce its own visual impact.

In order to obtain such results, the system controls were created with different types of interfaces; those present in the rooms ensure that the best climate conditions are obtained for living, whereas the others, not present in the rooms, allow for remote management of all system parameters.
