With over 15 years of experience, and thousands of installations, HSYCO is the ideal tool for Industrial Automation control. Here are some examples of typical implementations.
Operational data analysis
The aggregated and detailed representation of processes’ operational data, and of the systems’ operating costs is a non renounceable functionality for a modern control system.
Thanks to its ability to communicate with a myriad of field systems, HSYCO, is able to read and record in great detail the entirety of the available data.
Historical data is archived on the HSYCO server and can be exported in .csv format for interfacing with management systems.
HSYCO includes a powerful reporting tool, the HSYCO Data Logger, and a data charting utility.
HVAC Environmental and Operational Parameters
HSYCO acts as controller and supervisor of HVAC devices, recording with detail and precision the operating data, along with temperature and environmental parameters All data is stored on the HSYCO server and can be used to generate technical alarms when values deviate from predefined thresholds.
The data collected are the basis for generating differentiated climate control scenarios according to the calendars of activities, the weather conditions and the rate of insulation, which are essential for the proper management of energy consumption and for the safety and health of the environment.
Specialized Sensors
HSYCO is able to collect the data of many measurement devices by interfacing on standard bus or on Ethernet. In particular, water consumption data can be used to generate technical alarms for the prevention of leaks and flooding. HSYCO is equipped with a specific Leak Detection function which, in the event of a suspected water leak, is able to send alarm messages via sms, e-mail, telephone and, if necessary, activate emergency scenarios such as closing the water inlet. HSYCO is able to perform useful surveillance functions by associating camera images with environmental data.
Telemetry
HSYCO can collect data from on-site and remote measuring devices, thanks to the support of standard protocols such as Modbus, M-bus, or Ethernet. HSYCO applies sophisticated techniques to ensure satisfactory performance even in the case of a large number of controlled devices. All collected data is stored on the HSYCO server, presented in graphical form in the control interface, and can be exported to external systems.
The HSYCO Data Logger – Charts and Diagrams
All data stored in the HSYCO database and all the online information collected from the field or external sources can be charted on the HSYCO pages using the HSYCO Data Logger tool.
All charts and diagrams are updated in real time and displayed on the HSYCO graphical interface for local and remote access. A wide choice of graphic formats and colors is available. Filters allow the narrowing of the observation windows. All data can be exported in .csv format for further analysis.
The HSYCO data logger can compare real-time data with the corresponding historical readings and display them together with data collected from external systems or the Internet.
For example, the energy production data for a photovoltaic inverter can be presented together with the hours of sunshine.
Finally, it is possible to associate operational and field data with live images or recorded frames from digital video-surveillance cameras,
Furthermore, HSYCO is the ideal tool to create process or machinery online control reporting. Combining sensor data readings, timer status and activation times, counters values, camera images, and external data, the HSYCO data logger provides a complete picture and an effective and integrated log for many diverse systems.
The HSYCO data logger is also a tool for creating corporate information panels displaying, for example, an appealing graphical representation of the key environmental data in a business establishment or the energy consumption statistics for a sustainable building.
NLP, voice announcements and text to speech
HSYCO can send announcements in high-quality multi-language speech synthesis or from pre-recorded audio files to VoIP phones and Public Announcement devices. Thanks to this feature, telephones have become a simple and immediate tool for broadcasting information messages on the status of the systems controlled by HSYCO or safety alarms. Some examples: “Thank you for your visit, the outside temperature is 24 degrees”, “Alarm activated,” “Exit scenario activated,” “Car gate opening,” “Basement fire alarm,” “Flood alarm”). It is possible to send voice messages to the input of an audio amplifier or a sound diffusion system. Selected VoIP telephones support the “multicast” function, thanks to which the same message can be routed to several phones simultaneously.
The Natural Language Processor (NLP) is an embedded engine in HSYCO that can interpret plain text commands, like “turn on the lights in the living room,” and execute the corresponding commands to change the state of data points or call user code in EVENTS, JavaScript or Java.
The NLP accepts commands to multiple distinct items, like “turn off the lights in the main office, bathroom, and entrance,” but also group commands like “turn off all lights in the basement” and multiple distinct, concatenated commands, like “turn on the lights in the main office and open the door.”
Natural language commands can be originated from the speech recognition feature of HSYCO’s iOS and Android apps, from any text message, for example, Telegram messages and SMS messages.
The NLP engine supports multiple languages and can concurrently interpret text commands in any of the languages it has been trained to understand.
Finally, the commands don’t need to have a rigid format, and “turn on the lights on the first floor” will work just as well as “turn on the first floor’s lights” or even “lights first floor on”.
VoIp Integration
The VoIP technology is spreading rapidly in company and home telephony and intercoms.
VoIP solutions use the LAN network and do not require a dedicated infrastructure. Furthermore, they make it possible to solve intercom management problems in a flexible and functional way, even in structures spread over several buildings.
HSYCO offers complete integration with standard SIP telephony systems, which can be used as control terminals for any field system, but they can also become excellent tools for broadcasting text or voice messages.
HSYCO integrates VoIP telephony systems with field systems, and allows the addition of useful and innovative integrated features. With HSYCO, the telephone becomes a simple and practical control terminal.
